60 DC Hub Drej Log
69My 60 Day Challenge
I'm new to the Hub Challenge craze, so I'll start by introduction. To this day it is hard to believe I've been on Hubpages for nearly a year. When I first started out, I was here for one reason only...to write. I needed a place to express myself and hubpages provided the perfect avenue. I was more than satisfied with mediocrity, writing a few quirky rants and personal articles. However, as the months wore on and my writing significantly improved, I began to think that I could actually do this for a living. Why not? Unfortunately, I never really had the results to backup my claim, and so, I'm finally here! Let's see what I can accomplish...
Motivations
Motivations: I want to start taking hubpages seriously. The
only real way I can do this is to challenge myself to not only produce more
hubs, but write ones with quality and the ability to drive traffic. Honestly, I’m
doing it for me. I want to make money and I want find a way to make a name for
myself online.
All right, so here are my goals. Obviously, I need to write at least 30 hubs in 30 days. In order to that I need themes or niches. I want to start out with at least 2, possibly 3 themes, which should bring me through week 2. Then as the end of week 2 approaches, my goal is to have another 2 or 3 themes set up for the following 2 weeks. So, with that, I should have somewhere around 4 to 6 themes for the month…meaning I must have 5 to 8 hubs per topic. If for some reason I fall short of 30 hubs with my 4 to 6 themes, I may have to improvise and create a few solos or start a small theme in order to accomplish the overall goal. It’s definitely a challenge…I’m ready!
As for optimizing SEO words and finding the best topics to tap into, I'm still in the learning the process and will try to figure it out along the way. So, although it is a goal of mine to produce such hubs, I'm not quite sure what my angle of attack really is...other than to follow along.
Day 1
I would call today an overall success. Although I didn't publish any hubs, I completed a sales hub dealing with the NFL and I started on another sales article. I learned a lot about keywords through Market Samurai, although I still have much to learn. I also learned how to organize and cram keywords within my text without having to 'word stuff'.
Also, for the first time, I attempted to use my amazon account, and learned a great deal about how to locate certain items I was trying to sell.
End of Week 1
I managed to publish to a few football hubs by week's end. As far as optimizing keyword searches, I'm starting to get the hang of the Market Samurai program. I still looking for the 'right' keywords that not only create traffic, but aide in driving adsense clicks.
When it comes to niches I've restructured just a tad (which isn't surprising). With the help of Shaz, Chaz, Izzy, and Wavegirl, I've figured out that I'm going to wind up with more niches using similar keywords (within each niche) to gain more credibility.
My niches include the following: 2010 NFL teams, the NFL in general, Fantasy Football, Geek stuff, Writing, Graphic Novels, Men's hairloss products, and other sports (basketball and football). Some of these niches are interlinked with other, so that will help down to road during our promoting phase.

Even if you are an Iggly wiggly fan:)
Welcome aboard:)
drej2522, Looks like we are going to be working together in this challenge. This is my 2nd go round and I know working as a team on this makes a huge difference.
You"ll do great because you are not alone!
Welcome to the team!
Welcome aboard Drej. Glad you decided to do this challenge. Looking forward to working with you on this challenge!! Here's to the success of 60dc!!
Really glad you have joined the challenge! Here's to our success along the way!
Welcome ahoy - glad to have you on the team! The more you put into the challenge - the more you will get out. As Boomer said, the best way to achieve is through pro activity in the team effort. When I completed the 60dc, as a pioneer, we found that people who communicated, were active participants and kept the team as the centre of their focus, the pay-back was greater than those who were not as actively involved. Why dont you check out my diary on the first 60dc - here you will find the amazing leaps I made in all aspects of seo. United we stand, divided we fall and this was so true in this team effort.
I really look forward to working with you :)
Get your creative juices moving by writing some titles down. Starting small and then expanding gives you a chance to consider carefully the tag words you can use to 'sell' your articles. These are many hubs on the subject. Do a quick look-up in the hubpages searchbox. I'm sure you will find what you need. I look forward to working with you.
drej2522, nice to meet you! I also look forward to learing with you. Good luck
Good luck, fellow challenger! Onward and upward!
Good luck and every success...
Hey Drej, good luck on your goals and it's nice to see you are a bit more serious about your writing, or at least the quality of it. I have not taken part in any challenges either, aside from writing in the "Instant" Hub Challenges, Shadesbreath and I have done in the past. So, I too am new to the 30 hubs in 30 days type format. But, certainly will be interesting and fun. :)
Good luck in the challenge Drej! I'm sure you will accomplish all of your goals. Looking forward to working with you and getting to know you better.
Looking forward to conquering the challenge together Drej!

Hi Chris, welcome to the hub team. I look forward to working with you.
Namaste.
Hi Drej! It's gonna be great working together! Looking forward to watching you progress through your goals and in finding your niche markets. One thing I learned last time around was a simple way to look at SEO. It's almost like a "Fun with Dick and Jane" version for dummies like me, so if you want the PDF just let me know and I'll be glad to send you the link!
Hi drej, I am a bit late to the challenge so I am trying to play catch-up on the 60dc log reading. I am thrilled to be on the team and look forward to learning many new and great things.

Hello drej2522, Yes I have been studying a lot about keywords myself over the past wee. Like yourself I still have a lot to learn, but getting there.
I got impatient though and went ahead and published 2 hubs for the challenge. I can't go too long without writing Or I get frazzled lol.
I look forward to reading your hubs when they are published
Hello old pal, I know.. I know I'm supposed to say the usual 'best of luck, and I know you can do it' kind of stuff here, but hey, do remember to take it slow and not burn yourself out. Commercial hubs are necessary if you want to earn here, but don't completely neglect the real writer in you - who has such a flare for writing and always making your readers smile! Take care and hope you come out in one piece through this challenge! All that SEO stuff bores the hell out of me! ;)
Hello Drej, Still attempting to make the rounds to everyone's hublog. And you are right learning about keywords is important to us all. Wishing lot's of success for you on the challenge. :)
