2010 Philadelphia Eagles
67Kolb Highlights
Philadelphia Eagles and Kevin Kolb Era
Welcome Philly fans to what will be a great 2010 Philadelphia Eagles season. You can feel the excitement brewing from within, and the taste of fever in the air. It’s the football fever, a feeling that only continues to grow as the NFL season approaches.
Far from being the nfc east champions of 2008, the Philadelphia Eagles come into this 2010 season with a brand new squad. After the release of all-pro running back Brian Westbrook and the trade of Donavon McNabb (who were members of that '08 nfc championship team), the Eagles are ready to kickoff with a whole new generation of all-stars, staring Kevin Kolb, DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, and Jeremy Maclin to name a few. They are young, quick, fast, and possess a ton of talent! The potential is there, now it’s all about execution.
Hopefully the Philadelphia Eagles can keep up with their divisional rivals because the northeast looks like a juggernaut division this year. So, Philly fans, put your game faces on...are you ready for some football?

Philly Stadium: Lincoln Financial Field
Seating Capacity: 68,532 Philadelphia Eagles tickets
Previous Stadium: Veterans Stadium
Mascot: Swoop
Eagles Song:
Fly, Eagles Fly, on The Road to Victory!

E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!
Owner: Jeffrey Lurie
Offensive Coordinator: Marty Mornhinweg
Defensive Coordinator: Sean McDermott
Head Coach: Andy Reid
Kevin Kolb
Height: 6-3
Weight: 225 lbs
College: Houston
NFL Draft Position: 2007 2nd round, 36th overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.97s
Jersey: #4
Kevin Kolb is entering his fourth season in the NFL and is now listed as the Eagles starting quarterback. He only has 2 NFL starts to his name with a combined 718 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. To date, Kevin is the first quarterback in history to throw for over 300 yards in his first two career starts. No doubt, with such an impeccable resume, Kolb is expected to perform well this season. His situation is comparable to that of Aaron Rodgers, who slipped into the starting quarterback spot after Bret Favre’s departure. Hopefully Kolb’s career has a similar fate to the, now, all-pro Green Bay quarterback.
LeSean McCoy
Height: 5-10
Weight: 208 lbs
College: Pittsburgh
NFL Draft Position: 2009: 2nd Rnd, 53rd overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.52s
Jersey: #25
LeSean
McCoy showed a lot of promise in his 2009 rookie season. He nearly had
1,000 all-purpose yards while he shared carries with Leonard Weaver and
Brian Westbrook. During the offseason, his mentor (Westbrook) was
cut from the team, slating McCoy as the number one halfback for this season. LeSean poises a lot of the same speed and quickness as Westbrook once
displayed, giving McCoy the opportunity to step up and make a big impact to the team. No doubt, there's a lot of pressure on the 2nd year running back.
DeSean Jackson
Height: 5-10
Weight: 175 lbs
College: California
NFL Draft Position: 2008: 2nd Rnd, 49th overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.35s
Jersey: #10
DeSean
Jackson is another young sensation on the Eagle’s starting squad, who
is lightning quick and has big play ability. Last season, Jackson had
over 1,100 receiving yards and 9 touchdown receptions. Of the big three,
(Kolb, McCoy, and Jackson) DeSean is the proven star on the offensive side of ball. He has
two starting seasons under side belt, providing a lot of upside for his overall potential. Lets see if Kolb’s so called pinpoint accuracy helps Jackson
become one of the NFL’s elite superstars.
Jeremy Maclin
Height: 6-0
Weight: 198 lbs
College: Missouri
NFL Draft Position: 1st Rnd, 19th overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.45s
Jersey: #18
Jeremy
Maclin is much like DeSean Jackson. He’s fast and explosive and has the
ability to score from anywhere on the field. In his rookie season
debut, Maclin had about 800 yards receiving and a total of 4 touchdowns.
Although he can make a defense pay with his quickness, Maclin did show
some signs of inconsistency in the 2009 season. Jeremy is definitely a great complimentary receiver for both Jackson and Kolb.
Trent Cole
Height: 6-3
Weight: 270 lbs
College: Cincinnati
NFL Draft Position: 5th Rnd, 146th overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.70s
Jersey: #58
Trent
Cole is Philadelphia's all-star defensive lineman. With his team leading 12.5
sacks last year, Cole has proven to be one of the best defensive ends in
the national football league. His veteran leadership should allow additions like Darryl Tapp to reek havoc in the opponent's backfield. Additionally, a healthy
Stewart Bradley will allow Trent to duplicate or even surpass last year's stellar performance.
Stewart Bradley
Height: 6-4
Weight: 258 lbs
College: Nebraska
NFL Draft Position: 2007: 3rd Rnd, 87th overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.77s
Jersey: #55
Stewart
Bradley is the heart and sole of the Philadelphia defense. He was
sidelined for all of the 2009 season with a serious knee injury.
However, a full year of rehab and youth allows the Eagles defensive
captain the opportunity to return to his 2008 (100+ tackles) status. Oh, he's good, real good!
Assante Samuel
Height: 5-10
Weight: 185 lbs
College: Central Florida
NFL Draft Position: 2003: 4th Rnd, 120th overall pick
40-yard dash: 4.49s
Jersey: #55
Asante
Samuel is a big play cornerback. He can make a quarterback look
foolish, bating the passer to throw to a seemingly open receiver.
Unfortunately, with the glory comes utter failure. Sometimes Samuel
misjudges his timing and the receiver is able to make a small play into a big one. Despite Asante's wild card antics, Samuel will have somewhere between 8-10 interceptions this
upcoming season, guaranteed.
So, good luck Philly Fans, it's going to be a good one!

I still remember the last time the Bengals faced Vick with the Falcons about four years ago. He ran all over us passed for like 300 yards or so, and had a passer rating over 140. I guess you get a little rusty in jail.
sweet! Well I guess with the iggly wigglies having ummm . .. who is on this team again? McNabb? oh no he went south on the freeway. hehe is that what they call what connects Washington and Philadephia ;) I say you become a Falcon fan .. so much easier on the &hearts

Going to interesting without McNabb - I watched Kolb play at UofH and has looked solid in his hit outs. Thanks for the schedule. I look forward to the TEXANS Dec 2.
Bleed Green. Go Eagles. If you are a true fan of any football team, you are there through the ups and downs.
